Sangha is het boeddhistische woord voor hen die in het dagelijks leven het Pad van de Boeddha volgen. In het oude boeddhisme werden daarmee alleen de mannelijke en vrouwelijke monniken aangeduid maar in het zenboeddhisme omvat deze naam allen die het boeddhisme beoefenen. Het wordt als één van de Drie Juwelen gezien, de andere twee zijn de Boeddha en de Dharma, de boeddhistische leer. In de Dharmatoevlucht zijn er veel gelegenheden waarbij de Sangha samenkomt.
